I have met many people who have asked me “Which is the best home based business? Which one will make me rich?” And I always have to tell them “The one that you like.” There is no best home based business per se, they can all make a lot of money.
You see, one has to like what he is doing to accomplish anything remarkable. Nobody ever did anything great without having passion. After all, if you’re looking for a home based business, chances are you’re not really liking your job and are looking for ways to escape the rat race for good.
However, if you were to put a gun to my head and ask me which home business I would start if I wanted to make money online within 7 days, I would say affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing can be started within hours. Why? Because you don’t have to create any products, hold any inventory, or even have a website. All you need to do is start promoting your affiliate link.
Thousands of people all over the world are making a full-time income just from affiliate marketing. However, I do not recommend putting all your eggs in one basket. When you first start out, it is a good idea to focus on just one business. But once you are making money in that business, find other sources of income. This gives you the opportunity to maximize your income.
So whichever home business you want to start, don’t say it won’t make you money. Because there are people who are definitely making money, whether it is affiliate marketing or selling on eBay. Find the business which appeals to you, really study it, and you’ll be on the road to success.

I have been described as a recovering ‘stay-at-home mom’. I have been married for 40 years; have 2 sons and 5 grandchildren. My list of volunteer activities include: Jaycettes, scouting, Friends of the Library, church and probably some I can’t remember. I also cared for my father for 2 years before his death. Does this sound familiar? Is this how you describe yourself?
For as long as I can remember there has been a stirring deep within me that there must be something more to life than what I was experiencing. It was as if something were missing and I couldn’t quite put my finger, so to speak, on why I was having these feelings; they were just there. I was ignorant to the possibilities of what I could do, be or have. (Oprah wasn’t on TV when I was in my teens and early twenties!).
My teen years were in the 60’s. The career choices for females were: teacher, nurse, secretary or marriage. Most of my peers chose marriage and because of the economic conditions I grew up in, college was not an option. I certainly didn’t entertain the thought ‘wow’ I can do anything I choose — not that I was told that I couldn’t do or be anything it was rather I just never heard anyone say those words.
In 2006, I was introduced to the world of network marketing and my life took on a whole new venture. A flood of information was delivered to my door! This information was so powerful that it shook me to my very core. What I thought to be true wasn’t — I had always thought that I was a very positive person but within my negativity was rampant. But not for long!
My new adventure exposed me to some very incredible network marketers, speakers like Dr. Ellie Drake, Artemis Limpert, Jerry Clark, Myron Golden, Robert Dean Jr. and many, many more. Words like purpose, intention, congruency, surrender, equanimity and commitment were presented in an entirely new concept. The Law of Attraction? Never heard of it till now!
Dreams? I might have had a few nightmares, but I certainly didn’t dream big!
What was I doing? Where was I going? Is this something I want to do? This can’t be easy? The questions just keep coming. Have I been discouraged? You, bet! Have I wanted to quit! You, bet! And when I do get to feeling sorry for myself, I think back to that ‘gnawing feeling’ that there must be something more to life then what I was experiencing and I say ‘no way’. I am moving forward and not looking back as that door has closed.
The personal growth that I have experienced in these last few months is priceless. To be with and around other network marketers who share the same values, ideals and goals is extraordinary. To be part of a company and a team of great leaders and individuals is incredible.
What now? With that door firmly closed behind me, I am moving to “infinity and beyond” as my grandsons say. There is more growing, learning (I am coachable) and doing to be experienced. I am excited. The possibilities are endless. This would not be so, if I had remained wondering is this all there is to life and done nothing.
So I invite You (woman, wife, mother, grandmother) to become a part of this incredible opportunity of network marketing. Be bold, be brave, become the woman you were meant to be!
As Dr. Ellie Drake has so eloquently phrased: “It’s Easier Done Than Said”.

Did you know your past is a tool you can use to build the life you want? Everyone has a past; we have all dealt with “stuff” we did not want. Some people feel they have been dealt more than their share. Through faith, I always believed things happen for a reason. I just could not figure out what the reason was.
How does one go about letting the past “stuff” go and finding what that reason is?
In addition to prayer and the immense personal growth I received (surprisingly) through my home-based business, I am learning
“HOW TO LET IT GO” and I offer to you a few insights I’ve learned along the way:
Identify
The first step in letting it go is to identify your past. Look at it. Do not ignore it or deny it. Stuffing your past into a closet will not change it. Some choose to “buck up” and “deal with it” and go on with their day, hoping that time will make it diminish. It does not! It will linger. Ask yourself, “What am I hanging on to?” Understand that just because it happened does not make it right. What others say or do to you does not define you. Being a victim of your past is self-limiting. When you release yourself from being a victim, it opens you up to accept new things into your life.
Trust
Trust that your past will empower you more than you will ever know. As long as you hold on to the pain, you are choosing to allow your past hurts to continue to hurt you. If you do not choose to discover it, you will not be fulfilling your purpose and you may have a very frustrating life. Trust that God loved you enough to create YOU. Love yourself enough to be willing to let go of your painful past. Trust in the process.
The genius is your past
Your past is a gift. It’s all part of a plan or divine design. Accept your past lovingly. Be grateful for your experiences as only YOU could experience them. Your experiences made you what you are but they do not define you. Only you have the ability to understand the genius of your past and to use it to your full potential. Your past sets you up for success!
Find your purpose.
It is interesting that people often think of their past as a weakness and not a strength. The challenges we face actually support our purpose. Ask yourself this, “How are you stronger because of your past?” The answers to this question define your purpose. Everyone has a different purpose because everyone has different experiences. We are given life so we “learn it” and then we “teach it”. For example, a person cannot know happiness without ever truly knowing sadness. We are all put here on Earth to teach something and we can’t teach it without knowing it first. Use your purpose as a tool and put it behind everything you do. In doing so, you will live a self-fulfilling life, the best life you were born to live!
It is amazing to me now to realize that because of my past, and through my incredible home-based business, I am teaching others how to live a life full of abundant health and wealth! (Previously, I never thought I could be a teacher!) I am teaching EMPOWERMENT, FORGIVENESS and LOVE! I realize I am able to teach these things to others because through my past, I have learned what true forgiveness, love and empowerment feel like.

There is a popular saying: the rich get richer, the poor get poorer. Well, how does that happen, exactly?
By creating assets that bring in residual income, the rich often don’t have to spend much time on these assets after a while, because they are bringing in income even without the owner’s presence. With more time, the entrepreneur is then able to create more assets which produce even more residual income, and he repeats the process almost ad infinitum.
Leveraging on the Internet allows an individual to tap into the rich’s power. By creating an online business that allows you to create residual income, you can then move on to create more assets, slowly building your portfolio as you go on.
How much does it take to start an online business? Not much. Although starting an Internet business was cheap to start with, nowadays it costs even lesser to start one! A domain name costs less than $10 these days at many registrars, web hosting should take up no more than $30 a month. Effectively anyone can start a profitable Internet business for less than $50!
Let’s look at the probable figures:
1. Domain name ($7.95 per year)
2. Hosting ($3.95 per month/free)
3. Autoresponders ($20 per month/free)
4. Stats tracker (free)
5. Payment gateway (free-$50 one time)
6. Web design (free-$50)
7. Product (free-?)
8. Marketing (free-?)
9, Business registration (optional depending on location - $50-$400)
Your startup cost - $7.95-$500
Your operating cost - $7.95/year or none + marketing outlay
What’s more, you have the advantage of marketing your business to the world’s biggest marketplace, 24 hours a day. Can you afford not to take the opportunity to start an online business and start making money online?

Have you ever felt, after a hard day’s work, that those 8 hours of work were simply under utilized?
Let’s see, one hour was taken for lunch. Another hour for chit chat. So, altogether you really only worked 6 hours, and hey, you got paid 8 hours worth! What a deal!
But damn, if I don’t wake up tomorrow morning and go to work again, this income stream stops! Yesterday’s 8 hours of work mean nothing today. (Other than trying to suck up to the boss to try and get a promotion)
That is earned income. You get paid by the time you put in.
In that 8 hours, someone on this earth has created a new product, put it on the market, and have a residual income stream for years to come.
In 8 hours, with a bit of savvy, you can create a new info product, set up a website, and start selling. Then, you simply duplicate.
How would you rather spend your 8 hours? By creating a stream of income that is residual, or by putting in work that doesn’t really matter tomorrow?
Everyone is interested to make money online. It is exciting, new and mysterious.
Internet marketing is not all that different from offline marketing. The medium has just changed. But boy, is it a powerful medium.
If you need extra money, this is the only alternative other than getting a job. And the only way to become better at it? Constant study.
You will become so good that you can smell the scams from faraway, and be able to suss out the legitmate ones even if they seem like scams to others.
When you study the techniques, there is no way you cannot become a master of using the computer to make money on demand. And in the coming years, this skill will become even more useful!

As far as I know, there are two kinds of people in this world.
Those who believe in fate and those who don’t.
You will find those who believe in fate standing in the lottery line every week, while they drag themselves to work everyday. They believe things are pre-destined. In other words, they are followers. They follow people because they believe if everyone is doing it, hey it must be right!
The herd mentality is hard to kill, and that is why most people end up having relatively average lifestyles.
Then there are others who believe they can control what happens in their life and take action. These are the people who make things happen. These are the people who provide products for us, and make our lives meaningful. Moreover, these are the people who employ others.
Spending 15 years in school fosters an employee mindset and herd mentality psychographic. From the first day at school, we are encouraged to have the same hairstyle as others, wear the same shoes, and not question the teacher’s opinion.
After the average person graduates, he goes into work life and again encounters very much the same environment. He is encouraged to go with the herd, and so are his peers. Ever since young, he has been taught by his parents that a secure, preferably government service job is best. He is not taught to think for himself.
He reads all the good things about being an employee in the media. He sees his friends getting jobs fast, and he too wants to get a job fast. He soon thinks the only way to earn money is through a job and hard, grinding work. He believes the only way to make more money is to work harder.
The question is this: are you being led on a fool’s trail by society, slaving away, making a company rich?

by Get Paid For Doing Surveys
I’m sure you’ve been inundated with junk email that claims to know the best way for you to get paid for doing surveys. Those sites are like cockroaches in the way that they’ve multiplied and pestered people in recent years. To be honest, the idea of working from home and making enough money to pay all of my bills was intriguing, but I had heard so many bad things about the industry I was hesitant to join any of the sites that emailed me.
A few months ago, however, I met a woman who worked exclusively from home filling out surveys and she had nothing but good things to say about it. The hours were amazing (because she made her own), she got to spend lots of time with her kids and she never had to worry about scheduling time off or finding a babysitter if one of the kids had to stay home sick from school.
She told me that the secret was to find a good site to join that will provide you with all of the survey leads you need to make money. You can get paid for doing surveys, but only if you go to the right site. I asked her which one she relied on, and she told me that PaidSurveysEtc.com was the only one that she ever made money with.
I looked into the site on my own, and found out that not only does it offer paid surveys, but paid focus groups too! On average, each focus group pays $50. That means if you just do two every week, you can pull in an extra $400 each month. All for giving your opinions! Of course, I joined the site immediately and started filling out surveys whenever I had a few extra minutes. It’s really made a difference in my income, and now I’ve almost saved up enough money to go backpacking through Europe!

Can a sword make you money? Well maybe if you become an expert performer who gets paid, but those are a rarity.
In the last 5 years, the world has undergone MASSIVE change. Everything that concerns technology has changed, and changed dramatically.
As recently as 2003, Singapore started the Home Office scheme, which enabled entrepreneurs to run their business practically in their pyjamas at home, either part-time or full-time.
The Internet has been described by many experts and visionaries as being at the stage of infancy, not too dissimilar to when the plane was evolving after the Wright brothers invented it.
The question is: How does this concern you?
Well, whatever it is you are doing, start a side income if you can! Starting multiple streams of income now has never been easier.
Start-up costs have been reduced.
Inventory in some cases has even been eliminated.
Shop front is little more than a few MB.
You may not even need to hire employees.
Your business is open 24 hours, with or without your presence.
Communication costs has gone down like crazy, communication speed has gone up in spades.
As you see, the opportunities are limitless! The sky is not the limit, your imagination is.
Yes, folks, this is not a myth. This is the Internet revolution, and smart people are taking full advantage of it to quit their day jobs and work at home.
Do you want to
- be your own boss?
- stop your long commutes?
- have more free time?
- gain real respect?
- be richer?

You might think that a Home Based Business is best run on your own. This is only partially true. Of course you yourself are completely responsible for your work and its results. There is nobody else to blame! But it is always worth considering to join forces with other people in the same working situation.
Why is it a good idea to build up a team? Well one good reason is to combine the talents! People have different skills, interests and networks. When you combine the skills, interests and networks of several people you can create a team where the different members really complement each other. Together the team can attract more attention from the market and achieve better results than the sum of the individual team members!
What people should join your team? It is important to find team members that you trust and respect. People who are generous “givers”, they want to contribute to the common good rather than look for individual benefits for themselves. People without prestige. People who know that if the team succeeds everyone succeeds. Together Everyone Achieves More!
Another important issue is team communication. It is of vital importance that you communicate openly and honestly within the team. We do not want team member that are “yes-sayers”. Yes-sayers rarely contribute to the growth (physically as well as spiritually) of an organization. Every team member of your team must be able to give feedback to his or her fellow team members, and also accept feedback from them. Every team member shall know that honest feedback to a team member is a good way to share knowledge and help each other become even better, in fact it is a great service to a colleague to offer your heart felt feedback to him or her!
Working in a close team means that you share your colleagues joys and pains. Whenever one team member has a success of some sort the whole team will participate in the celebration thereof! This encourages other team members to work a little harder to achieve the same amount of success. This creates MOMENTUM within the team; enthusiasm is contageous! And just imagine those halleluja moments when the whole team share the sweet joy of some big achievement of a team member. There is also a possibility to have team brain-storming sessions to solve problems or come-up with e.g. new marketing ideas.
Yet another reason for working in teams is to help each other with self-discipline! Working in a team opens up a good opportunity to keep each other responsible for plans and goals etc. It may be quite easy to give yourself an excuse not to fulfill your plan for this week. But it is much harder to explain to your buddy why you did not meet your own goal.
Team work need not be very formal. The better the team members know each other the fewer rules are needed. It is a general good idea to have regular team meetings to keep the team together and to spread knowledge within the team.
And last but not least, it is much more FUN working in a team than working alone! Life is short so you better not waste it having a boring time. And fun work gives MUCH BETTER RESULTS than boring work!
To conclude, team work is usually beneficial for everyone. Shared joy is double joy, shared trouble is half trouble!
Good Luck with your teams.

Starting a home business can be a desirable way to earn an income. You have the ability to set your own work schedule and work from the comfort of your own home. Before you start a home business, you need to first consider several factors.
You’ll need to establish a business plan. This may take some time to come up with, so you may want to start working on this while you are still at your current job. Your plan should include the type of opportunity that you want to join as well your income goals in the future. If you take the time to prepare a solid business plan, it will keep your business ideas moving. You’ll know your starting point and what needs to be done in order to reach your goals.
You should develop a plan as to how you will make your money and how you will pay the people that you have working for you. You’ll want to consider how you will get money into your business and how to pay to your employees accordingly.
Another factor to consider in starting a home based business is how to get your business to grow and expand. You may not see the need for this when you are just starting out, but in order to be successful, you’ll need to know the steps that you need to take in order to get yourself there.
Location is another factor to consider. Of course there are the many benefits of keeping your home business right in your own home. If you do this, you will need to set aside a part of your home that you can use as your work space and still have it as part of your home for when you need it. If you’ve considered these factors, then you can start moving forward with your business.
