How to Work at Home Successfully

Monday 30 July 2007 @ 3:07 pm

by Jackie Beem
I work at home and love it. But, it hasn’t always been such a joy.

For years I worked in Corporate America. But, then around 15 years ago I was able to start working out of my home. There were pluses and minuses and didn’t become really pleasurable and profitable until about two years ago, when I took a hard look at what I was doing and made some changes.

At first the pluses for working at home were:

I had more flexible hours. I just needed to get the work done, no one cared what time of the day or night that I got it done.

I did not have to waste an hour or so in commute time.

I saved on gas and the wear and tear on my car.

For me, having windows and being able to see outside was a real plus. I enjoy nature and it was relaxing for me to be able to look out and see the flowers, the greenery and the blue skies. Most of the corporate offices where I had previously worked had very few windows and if we took a break and took a walk it was usually looking at paved roads and brick buildings.

Breaks were more relaxing. I didn’t have to go to the break room and listen to everyone complain about work and complain about work myself. I was able to walk outside for a few minutes and enjoy the scenery.

I was able to better utilize my time to get household chores completed. I could put a load of clothes in the washer and dryer and let them run while I worked. I never felt comfortable leaving these machines running unattended when I left home for work.

I found that I had fewer bouts of colds and flu because I wasn’t exposed to these germs as much as I had been while working in an office with a lot of other people.

The minuses were:

I was still working an hour for an hour’s pay. I wasn’t really in business for myself working fewer hours and/or making more money.

All my friends would get me to handle errands because I had flexible hours and they could not get off from work. It was great for them but, I still had to put in my hours to get my work done, sometimes late into the evenings.

I had to pay for my own supplies and equipment. I had to furnish my own computer, fax machine, computer software, phone lines, etc. This also meant you had to take your time and money to get these things fixed when they were broken.

My friends wanted to call me and chat during work hours. The problem was that they were getting paid, because they were on salary, and I wasn’t because I was getting paid by the hour. They also wanted to continue to complain about work and I really wasn’t interested anymore. It was just a waste of time for me.

I also had to pay for my own benefits, such as health and disability insurance. I had more tax forms to do in order to pay and report my Social Security and Medicare taxes.

How I changed for the better:

Even though the pluses outweighed the minuses for me, I still wanted more free time.
So, I took a hard look at my day and began to investigate how I could make life better.

After some research, I set up my on internet business in niche and affiliate marketing and I haven’t looked back since. It took a little time to get things going but once I had my sites setup and making money, literally while I sleep, I was able to start enjoying more free time.

I also changed my circle of friends. I kept a few close friends but slowly began associating with more people who do what I do. They are spread out all across the country and a lot of that association is via phone and email. But, it’s great. They are happy people. They have plenty of money coming in so they can be generous with their time and they love to talk about what they do.

I now make enough money to pay an accountant to handle all the mundane tax stuff which also gives me more time.

You need investments that make money for you without taking up your time. I have some stock shares in a company that I used to work for years ago. The last year that I worked there they setup an employee stock plan and my number of shares allocated that year was 55 shares. Over the years I have done nothing but let the dividends buy more shares and today I have around 2600 shares and they are worth over 6 figures. The point is I did no work for this growth. This investment is my little reminder that all of my income should be like this. So I now stay focused on ways to make money at home without giving an hour for an hour’s pay.

I do have work associated with my internet business but not near the hours that I have previously put in on a job and the money earned is much nicer.

I have learned to say no some to my friends when asked to run errands and do things that eat up my time for their benefit.

I have also learned to say I need to hang up because I have something that needs to be done when they call just to complain about their job. I no longer want these negative vibes in my life.

I no longer worry about my expenses for supplies, computers, etc. because that cost is just a drop in the bucket.

I still enjoy all the pluses of working at home but have eliminated more of the negatives. Plus, I make more money and enjoy more free time.

If you are currently working at home, take a look at where your day is going and consider some changes for the better. If you still are burdened with working in corporate America then perhaps this information will help you in making a decision to change.

I think the most important thing that I did, and you can do also, is I took action to change. You must decide what you really want and just do it. It won’t happen unless you do.

What Can You Expect From An Online Business

Monday 30 July 2007 @ 2:07 pm

by Nancy Kraska
Four years ago I decided to start an online business, never knowing what that would entail. I truly believed the hype of a business running 24/7 by itself. How utterly naive I was.

Essentially an online business does run by itself, once it is set up. However, an online business is constantly changing. New challenges await the unwary behind every website. Not only does it keep changing and challenging you the business owner, but as your business evolves so do the challenges. How you adapt to these challenges and changes will determine whether your online business will succeed.

From my personal experience, once you decide on the home based business you want to involve yourself in, allow at least three months to learn new strategies, for some a new language (computer speak), and to improve the multitude of new things you will be learning to enable you to run your home business. Have patience these first three to six months as they will be over in a blink of an eye; you need this learning curve to succeed. You need to know what you are doing and how you are doing it to start to grasp the concept of your running a home based business, and not chasing the dream of owning one.

Throughout the first year you will be learning every day, but within six months you should start seeing some award for your work in the form of cash! After months of trying and seeing little or no results that first big sale is like manna from heaven. It usually happens around the six month mark, but there are no guarantees in online business, to some extent it is sheer luck and perseverance. For me it was people telling me I could not make a living online. Something about being told I cannot do something has always struck a nerve with me.

If you have reached this turning point you will know that you have chosen the right home business for you.

This is also the time when you think you can sit back and reap the rewards. Not So!
You have started building the business, now you have to add on. Much like you build a building. You have started the foundation, now move on to the upper floors. You need to take a close look at what you have built, and decide what you are doing that is working and what is not. Get rid of or refine what is not. Continue and refine what is.

I check my website daily, to see where my sales are coming from. If one product is doing better than another, that product gets more exposure. Do the same with advertising. If you use only free advertising as I do, check your sites several times a week to make sure your ads are getting the exposure you need them to get, if they are not getting any hits, rewrite them. I am constantly looking for new and legitimate work at home opportunities. Many of the opportunities I try out first before I put them on my website to make sure they are what they say they are, if it is something I cannot check out I enlist the aid of a trusted group of people who check the offers out first. There are a lot of scam artists out on cyberspace, unfortunately.

Owning your own home business is a continuing learning experience. It really never ends.
Look into automation and programs that will help you improve your home based business. The business forums on the Internet are a good source for this type of information. As your profits increase the excitement of that first sale remains, but remember why you wanted a home based business. You need to take some of the profit and put it back into your business either in the form of better advertising, better software, whatever you need to make your business run smoother and faster.

Your home based business will give you the freedom and flexibility to enjoy life. Once you succeed in automating your business, you will be able to choose when you want to work and when you want to play.

Within the first year you will have set up a daily schedule which will give you a routine to your working days, while still maintaining the flexibility you longed for when starting. You won’t be rich yet, but you will be your own boss. At the end of the first year you have made it past the ups and downs of owning your own business, you should be seeing a profit, and you are on track for where you want to be.

Most online marketers who are within their first five years are still working for someone else, but they, unlike their counterparts, see the end in sight. They know that they are where they want to be, and within a short period of time, they will be working only for themselves.

Move Over Estee Lauder

Monday 30 July 2007 @ 2:07 pm

by Phyllis Nasiopulos
No one grew up saying, “I hope I can work 40 hours a week, 50 weeks a year for 40 years and have little to nothing to show for it at retirement.” Yet, that is the sad state of affairs for many people, and the picture is only getting worse. According to Michael Clouse in Future Choice, Fortune 500 companies eliminated 9 million jobs in the last decade. AT&T, IBM and General Motors, companies that were the pillars of the job market, are getting rid of middle-level management and employees by the tens of thousands.

Most people rely on three things to provide economic security: a private pension, Social Security and savings. We’ve all read the papers that tell of the tragic situation people find themselves in when the company no longer honors giving their loyal employees the pension they counted on. The median private pension for married men is $8,400 a year, or less than $162 a week; for married women it is $4,365 a year, or just $84 a week (Clause). Equally as frightening is the Social Security issue; it’s hardly secure at all. And savings are a thing of the past. Most Americans live from paycheck to paycheck.

How can the American people get out of this quagmire? The answer is becoming an entrepreneur; being an independent business owner is the American Dream in action; it always has been. Our history is based on people who had a vision and made that vision a reality. Not only have our forefathers lived this dream, bold people of our own time have faced the challenge and made it work. It is the dream that many people have acted on: Hewlett-Packard, Apple Computer, Mrs. Fields’ Cookies, Domino’s Pizza, Nike and Walt Disney Productions all started as home-based business. Each of these multi-million dollar companies started as a person’s dream.

You may be saying, “OK, I’m ready; all I need is a business, and I’m on my way to financial freedom and living the best life possible!” While I applaud your enthusiasm, I have a few words of advice. Keep in mind a few things when you consider starting a home-based business. A successful business will meet these four criteria:

1. There must be an expanding market for your product.
2. The product must be consumable
3. Timing and Trends are very important
4. You must be able to leverage your time

Expanding Market: Who will your target market be? If your products will meet the needs and desires of the Baby Boomers, people born between 1946 to 1964 that’s a plus for you. This population controls 65% of the expendable income. There are over 1 billion baby boomers worldwide. These people had an impact on the economy from the time they were born. In the 50s 1.8 billion jars of baby food was sold. In the late 50s, it was necessary to build schools for them. Jump to the 80s and see an explosion in the housing market. The 90s was a banner year for personal computers and technology. In 2000s these people are trying to hold on to the glory years. They want to look as good as they can and live the best life for as long as they can. Welcome to Botox and supplements. If you have the Fountain of Youth and a way for them to make money, you’re destined to be bigger than Donald Trump and Bill Gates rolled into one.

Consumable Products: You must have a quality product that can be trusted. Selling something once may put some money in your pocket, but if you want money in the bank, have something that people are going to want over and over again. If your products meet many different needs like anti-aging, weight loss, nutritional supplements, personal care, etc., you’ve got something for everyone.

Timing and Trends: You already know that this is the best time to consider a home-based business that is multi-level marketing in design. Only 4% of the American population makes more than $100,000/year. Each day, 3,100 jobs are lost and 33% of the American work force has a second job. Being an entrepreneur with the opportunity of offering these same people a chance to become financially independent helps them and you. Multi-level marketing is the alternative to the above scenario.

Leveraging Your Time: J. Paul Getty said it well: “I would rather have 1% of 100 people’s effort than 100% of my own…” When you work in a multi-level market industry, you work with a team. When you help these people to be successful, you are helping yourself. In the corporate world, this would be unheard of. The traditional method of being paid is trading hours for dollars. With multi-level marketing, you get paid on the efforts of your team down to the fourth, fifth and subsequent levels of participation. This phenomenon is called the “exponential success path.” Do not mistake this as a sit back and make money off the hard work of others. A reputable company will make sure that this kind of thing never happens. The great news is the sky is the limit. You control how much you want to make and how many hours you are willing to work.

You are absolutely in the right place at the right time. The choice to live the best life possible is within reach. You’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain. See you at the top!!

The fact that you’re investigating the home-based business industry is a sign that you still have dreams and trust in those dreams.

Average Joe Income Package Review - Learn the Shocking Truth!

Monday 30 July 2007 @ 2:07 pm

by Eric Straton
There has been a lot of energy and excitement about a recently released money making package called: The Average Joe Income Package. People were claiming be actually making money from this program, so I went in and bought it. At the time I purchased it, the Average Joe Income Package was $67. Now it is only $47. After purchase I was taken to a members area and shown the first tutorials.

I immediately clicked on the first tutorial. As described on the sales page, all lessons come in video and PDF format, I watched the video. The video was very detailed and easy to understand. I then moved onto the second video, and so on. The members area also has a members forum and email support with the creator.

Now for my actual review. After reading through each of the tutorials and watching the videos, I can say that I am very impressed with the Average Joe Income Package’s material and resources. Each video and ebook was very detailed, and showed you exactly what to do. It blows most other programs out of the water. The only downside I found with The Average Joe Income Package is that the information is very basic. I guess this wouldn’t be a downside if you’re completely new to Internet Marketing, but if you’ve been doing Internet Marketing for a year or more, you’ll find this program pretty useless.

What The Average Joe Income Package teaches you:
1. How to make money without spending any money (very helpful when starting out!)
2. How to build an income generating website
3. How to start a cash generating blog
4. Google Adwords tutorials
5. How to make money with Google Adsense

So you’re probably wondering: Did you make any money? My answer: Yes! Out of all the programs I’ve tested, the Average Joe Income Package made me money very fast! I made my first sale in a week! And my income almost multiplied by two every week! So my verdict for the Average Joe Income Package: Check it out! It’s totally worth it!

The Average Joe Income Package is a good program, but it didn’t make my number one chosen money making program. Check out my website at http://www.money-making-programs-revealed.com, to see what the number one money making program on the internet is!

How to Create a Real Home Based Internet Business

Monday 30 July 2007 @ 11:07 am

by coco34
The news is always full of stories about various companies laying people off, and companies reducing the value of their benefits packages. We are owned by the companies we work for. Wouldn’t it be good to be free of our corporate paymasters? Starting a business is risky and can be expensive, but the internet offers us the opportunity to create a business without the traditional start-up costs which put most people off. This article will explain how to create a real home based internet business by building an info product.

The first thing you want to do is find your info product topic. The easiest way to do this is to think of a broad subject that you’re interested in, and then use the free keyword tools available on the internet to drill down into that subject until you find a narrower niche. For example, if you like golf, you wouldn’t create a product based on this subject, as it is far too broad — you will have too much competition. But a potential subject for our info product could be logo golf tees. Obviously, you will want to do a lot more research into your topic, but this is a good example of a niche area in a large and popular subject.

Creating the actual info product is probably the easiest part of the process. The power of the internet enables you to find out almost anything about any topic. You will be required to put in some hours to find the information you need, though. A good way to do this is to subscribe to forums in your niche area — find out what people want to know, and then research an answer for inclusion in your info product. This will also make it easier for you to create a sales page, by promising the answer to specific questions.

Once you have your finished info product, the next step is to sell it. The best way to do this is via its own website. This website will consist of a sales page describing your product, and a Paypal button enabling people to buy it. There are several free website building tools on the internet, so don’t worry if you’ve never done this before.

So now you have a product and a website selling your product. The next step is getting traffic to your site. Write some articles based on your product and upload them to the free article directories on the Internet. Include the url of your website in the author resource box so people reading your articles might click on it for more information. It might also be worth buying some advertising, using Google’s adwords program. Because you have a narrow niche, you may be able to purchase keywords very cheaply, and get your site shown near the top of the sponsored links in Google.

I hope this article has given you an insight into how to create a real home based internet business. I have explained how to find a niche that you’re interested in, how to create your product, how to sell it, and how to market it. All you need to do is put in some hard work….

7 Top Ways To Make Money Online

Monday 30 July 2007 @ 11:07 am

by JG Payge
Why would anyone want to make money online? Well, firstly you can work from anywhere in the world that you can get an internet connection. Secondly, you can create an incredible income even if you only have a few hours a day. So if you want freedom, flexibility and want to make money, read on…
So, how do you actually make money online?

Here are some of the most popular and proven ways to make money online, in no particular order:

1. Make money on eBay
2. Make money with blogs
3. Make money with Online Surveys
4. Affiliate Marketing
5. Google Adwords
6. Google Adsense
7. Your own website

Some of these methods require some internet knowledge, while some are suitable for a total beginner. Some will produce an immediate income while others may take months or more.
For instance, blogs and surveys are ideal for the beginner, and surveys can produce immediate income. A blog is like an online journal. Surveys simply require you to share your opinion.
Your own web-site on the other hand requires some expertise and will usually produce income in the longer-term. However once your site does start making money for you, it’s like having your own money-printing machine!

Google Adsense is where you enable adverts to show on your blog or website, and you get paid every time someone clicks on the ads. So, if your blog or website become popular, and you are getting thousands of visitors a week or a day, you can make a great income doing pretty much nothing! (You did the work previously setting up the blog or site and now you can reap the rewards).

Google Adwords is where you pay for your own advert that will appear down the right side of the page when people do a google search. For instance, let’s say you are selling health products and need more customers. If you have your own website, however simple, you can create an advert that will appear on Google’s search results when someone does a search for health products. You pay every time someone clicks on your advert. Let’s say Google charge you 20 cents a click, and for every 30 people that click you get a sale of, say, $40. As long as you are in profit with the results, it can be well worth doing. However, I strongly recommend that you follow the experts with this method, else you could waste a lot of money. Read my ebook before you get involved.

Affiliate marketing can work well with Adwords. This is where you send buyers to other people’s websites and get generous commission on any sales made. The sales are tracked by way of a coded link. You don’t need to buy stock or send items to customers, the website owner does all that. This can be a superb way to make money once you understand it.

Selling on Ebay is another way to make money online quickly. You don’t need to sell stuff from your loft, you can sell whatever you are most interested in — so, if you love sport, why not look into selling sports-related items. If you make jewellery, sell that. If you love dogs, sell dog-related items. Again, there are tricks of the trade that will make the difference between ebay success and failure.

There are e-books available which show you how to create your own web-site and you can also get free websites when you buy information packages on the web (for examples of this visit the recommended businesses via the link below). I make money in all these areas because I think it’s a great idea to have more than one income stream. After all, why limit yourself?

I go into detail about exactly how to make money online with all 7 of these methods in my free e-book (see below).

My best advice is to do what I did and copy those who are already making money online as I demonstrate in the e-book. Why? Well, you can avoid wasting lots of time and money this way. I spent 18 months trying to figure out the best ways to make money online and the result is, many methods can work but not always as fast as you may wish. So, you can get started with the methods that make immediate cash and then progress into other methods if you want to earn more.
Some people make six figures A MONTH online, while others just want a few hundred a week. That’s the great thing about making money online, you can build up to whatever income you want, and let’s face it, there aren’t many jobs that offer you that!

I am an Internet Marketeer. You can download a copy of my e-book free at http://www.easymakemoneysite.comThe site has articles, proven online businesses and much more to help you make money online.

building a home based internet business

Monday 30 July 2007 @ 8:07 am

by coco34
There is a lot of chat in internet forums about building a home based internet business. There are so many products out there promising the key to the next big thing that it can be difficult to make an informed choice. There is also a high risk of getting scammed, as con artists sell info rubbish for 97 bucks a pop. This article aims to inform on four of the most popular ways of building a home based internet business.

How many sales pages have you read where the writer promises you your own ‘free’ website, which you can use to make untold wealth? These are known as turnkey websites — all you need to do is turn the key and that’s them switched on. The problem is, these sites aren’t free — you need to pay for domain hosting, from the product creator’s affiliated hosting company. This is typically more expensive hosting than you would pay for if you shopped around. Also, you have to remember that for every person who buys this product, there will be an identical website set up in competition. If you are clever enough to drive traffic to a turnkey website, then you are clever enough to learn how to make your own site, choose more appropriate domain hosting, and repeat this for more niches than you can shake a stick at.

Another means of building a home internet business, is of the ‘make money from Google Adwords’ type. It is very possible to make a lot of money from adwords, but this is not for the beginner. For a start, you need to pay for these adwords. This can get expensive if you don’t know exactly what you are doing. If you are determined to go down this route, you should buy a decent guide on how adwords work (read plenty of reviews before you purchase such a product).

Affiliate marketing is another home business idea that is very popular, and it is a good entry level business field for the beginner. You can make mistakes and learn from them without it costing much money. Basically, affiliate marketing involves you choosing a product to promote (from the likes of Clickbank or Commission Junction), and every time someone purchases the product via your link, you get a commission, which can typically be between 40-75%. Once you get good at affiliate marketing, it can be a very lucrative business.

In my opinion, the best way of building a home internet business for the beginner is creating content based websites and integrating them with Google adsense. You will learn a tremendous amount about the fundamentals of internet marketing if you go down this route. Basically, you identify a niche and create a website around that niche. The website will have lots of search engine friendly content, which you can either create yourself, or get from article sites (subject to authors terms). You will then drive traffic to your site. Once you have a steady flow of traffic (this can take a while, don’t get disheartened by this) the site will pretty much run by itself, providing you with an income on autopilot. This process can then be repeated as often as you like.

As you can see, there are several ways to create an income from the internet, and this article has only scratched the surface. Whatever method you decide to use, please remember that you will need to put the hours in, at least initially. Once you start to make even a small dribble of money by yourself, the process becomes almost addictive….

Work at home businesses

Monday 30 July 2007 @ 8:07 am

by coco34
As our workplaces become more unbearable, more and more people are looking into the concept of work at home businesses. A quick search on the internet for home business ideas reveal that there is a huge amount of information available, some of it which can best be described as a ‘scam’. So, are work at home businesses a realistic option, or are they just a means for scam artists to get rich by preying on other peoples’ dreams? This article will explorer some of the options available to the person who wants to quit their job and start a work from home business.

There are a number of work at home ideas that you should definitely stay away from. These include envelope stuffing, data entry scams, and multi-level-marketing. Basically these are just jobs, where instead of working at an office, you get to work at home. And lets face it, if you think stuffing envelopes for a living is going to be more fun that your current job, then you really have a problem. Data entry scams usually involve creating adverts for use on Google, based on keywords provided by your new boss. This can be expensive without an in-depth knowledge of Google Adwords. Multi-level-marketing (MLM) companies can offer legitimate opportunities, but there are some rogue MLM companies out there whose business plan is nothing more than pyramid marketing.

One business idea that is very popular is to sell e-books on auction sites, like eBay. Basically, what you do is buy lots of e-books and sell them for a very low price. Bear in mind that an e-book is an electronic product and you can therefore sell as many copies of the same e-book as you like. So, if you buy an e-book from eBay for $2, you can sell 1000 of them for $2. The crucial point here is that when buying e-books to sell, you must make sure that they come with resell rights; otherwise you won’t be able to sell them on…

Another idea is to create a website with lots of content and imbed Google adsense into the pages. If you don’t fancy writing the content yourself, you can get free articles which you can reproduce as long as you credit the original author. There are lots of free tools which enable you to build a website from scratch, even if you have no prior knowledge (I managed it!!). Once you’ve built your website, publish it and then work on driving traffic to it. Once you know this process, you can repeat it as often as you like to provide multiple income streams. Mastering this process will also provide you with fundamental skills required to make money from the internet.

A more advanced (and lucrative) business idea is to create your own info product, based on a subject that you either know about, or can learn enough about. Once you have created your info product you will then need to create a simple website to sell it, and drive traffic to this website.

As you can gather from this article, it is possible to make money from work at home businesses, but you must be aware of possible scams, and you must also be aware that there is a lot of learning involved before you can jump in. Creating a content based adsense site will make for a fantastic (cheap) learning process, which once you’ve mastered you can repeat as often as you like. Once you have built up some experience, the real online money is in creating your own info product.

An Affordable Home Based Business Opportunity

Monday 30 July 2007 @ 8:07 am

by coco34
Many people these days have become sick of commuting for hours to work for a big corporate, and have investigated the possibility of starting their own business. The problem is, there are a number of start up costs associated with a traditional bricks and mortar business. The following article discusses the using the internet to create an affordable home based business opportunity using affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is a process by which you sign up to market someone else’s product in return for commission. Digital products are an example of an ideal product to promote. If you head over to Clickbank, you will find thousands of info products, each with an affiliate program that you can join. Typically the commission ranges from 45-75 %. The reason such high rates are offered is because is doesn’t cost anything for the merchant to create an additional unit of his product, so all income is profit.

So you’ve chosen a product to promote — now what? Well, there are a number of ways you can get customers to buy through your link. Adwords is one way, where you purchase keywords from Google, and if a person searches on your keyword, your ad may show up on the sponsored links panel on Google. This costs money, though, and is a very competitive arena.

If you already have your own website, you could create a review of the product you’re promoting. If you are uneasy about writing a favourable review of a product that you don’t really believe in then don’t. Pick a product you do believe in. Your review should be honest, and highlight the product’s positives, as well as some negatives.

Another cheap way to promote products is to write articles on a related subject, then include a link where the reader can click to be directed to your own website which includes the review of the product. Article directories will have a much higher traffic volume that your own website, so you will be more likely to get hits from an article directory than a search engine.

What you could also do is start a blog. There are a number of sites which will host your blog for free, and all you need to do is to create a product review, and post it to your blog. Search engines seem to love blogs, so you are more likely to get increased traffic this way. You must, however, continue to update your blog. This is important for search engine exposure.

As you can probably tell, the affiliate marketing of info products offers an affordable home based business opportunity, and one which you can begin on a part time basis too. This article has covered a number of ways in which you can create an income, all you need to do now is take action…

Turning your Passion into Profits and living on what you love doing

“There is no scarcity of opportunity to make a living from what you love, there is only scarcity of resolve to make it happen.” –Wayne Dyer

“The mistake people make in life is not making a living from what they love doing.” –Forbes

“Discover your purpose, decide, force yourself to do what you you love and sooner or later, the money will follow. When you discover, uncover and recover your passion, work becomes fun regardless of obstacles” –Uzo Onukwugha.

The key to happiness and fulfillment in life is the discovery of a major definite purpose. Your purpose is tied to your pursuit, value, self-worth, personal direction and achievement. Value is always maximized when purpose is discovered. Either you are living your purpose or you are living off of your fears and insecurity. Remember there are no securities; what you have is opportunities. Building your life around your life dreams offers the best opportunity to maximize your talents and gifts. That’s how to benefit yourself and the world instead of blending with the crowd.

By definition, your passion is love in motion. Your passion is a meshwork of your pass-time, hobby, inborn talents, experiences, special skill, failures, success, learning or training. Don’t be surprised that failures and bitter experiences are included in the definition of passion. Experience is learning from your mistakes and wisdom is not repeating the same mistakes. Yes, other people want to benefit from your wisdom and experience, too. What we hear often is the success stories but you must know that failure is the back door to success.

By the way know that there is market or niche for every idea. Yes, your riches are in your niches. You just have to define, confine and find your niche. It is called target marketing.

How do you then turn your passion into profit that can benefit you and others?

Here are the four cardinal process you can use as a rough guide to turn your passion into profit:

Passion–>Prospects–>pre-sell–>Profits (monetization).

Start with your passion by providing quality content. All of us are value shoppers to some extent. “Don’t try to be a man of success; be a man of value,” says Albert Einstein. Don’t make the mistake of starting with money. Nobody starts with the end-goal! You can package or repackage your passion in different format: ecourse, ebook, physical book, report, manuals, seminars, workshops, mentorship programs, home study courses. Just to name a few especially if you are an information marketer.

Then quality content (value) will attract prospects or potential customers. Initially, these are called suspects or browsers. When your information solves the prospects problems or meets their goal or aspiration, they are pre-sold to you already. This is how these people become your audience or subscribers to your idea or perspective on issues.

Potential customers are already pre-sold. People buy into you before they buy your products. In other words, you make friends before you make sales. We know that people love to give their money to people they know, love and respect. This is even more powerful when you position yourself as an expect–your unique selling proposition. Always know the reason why people are coming to you. Take a stand, it is a numbers game and there is no money in the middle. Experts always make more money than generalists.

The last step in the beginning of the end of the sales process is monetization. This is a fancy way of saying that the prospects who are already pre-sold in their minds have now become paying customers. They have used their hard earned dollars to purchase your products, good or services. Here, they are no longer browsers but customers. Note that I called monetization the end of the beginning of the process because sales do not end when customers buy. You must follow-up because there is the back-end and relationship must continue into the future. This is the way to make more money and minimize refunds with great customer service.

The key is knowing how to build an ongoing relationship with your subscribers and customers. Eventually all success is a product of relationships. Your financial independence is dependent on other people. This is how you leverage your training, time, talent and treasure. This is how to turn your passion into profit.
