Puttering around your garden on one of these beautiful summer days can leave you with many good results. First, of course, it is always good to get out into some warm sunlight and, second, spending time away from the TV’s maddening ruckus can do the soul nothing but good. While visiting your garden, or if you are just putting one together in a long forgotten corner of your estate, there are many elements to consider.

Foremost is what is your theme going to be? Will it be formal and structured or loose and whimsical?Japanese gardens are always the most formal and have limited appeal to many Americans because of that. Additionally, the environment surrounding most American homes is not conducive to the formality required to obtain the Japanese “serenity” so often associated with that style. After all, how can a logical transition be made between Pop’s BBQ set-up and white, combed rocks? Somewhat difficult, anyone would say.

On the other end of the scale is what is increasingly referred to on the West Coast as an “Oakland” garden. These Oakland gardens are, indeed, something majestic to behold. Admittedly, the first time one sees these multi-hued masters of art, color and design one might believe they are looking at a weed patch; but upon closer examination, it becomes all too clear that a great amount of time, effort and money have gone into making an Oakland garden look just like anarchic garden splendor. Developing first in the Piedmont area of Oakland, California it seems that the Oakland-style garden is spreading quickly. This author has spent hours puzzling together how the style originally developed only to give up and exclaim, “Well, it’s just genius whoever made it happen.”

Distilled to its essence, the Oakland garden is an effort to use plants native to the location in which the garden sits, employing natural-looking features or constructs so as to enhance the overall effect of being in nature, and tastefully employing Garden Art in an effort to create the appearance of nature, as opposed to a husbanded setting such as the Japanese employ. A direct result of an Oakland garden is the almost immediate return to one’s garden of native birds, butterflies, bees and other life forms.

One highlight of the typical Oakland garden is the abundant use of Garden Art. The key to discerning an Oakland garden, indeed, may just be how thoughtful is the placing of the Garden Art that is employed.

Garden Art is not new, of course. From the days of King Louis XIV when the art of the garden reached its zenith and was never again surpassed, all the way back to the Romans, Greeks, Egyptians - well, you get the picture: Garden Art has been around a long, long time. But in just the past 25 years, or so, Garden Art is making a resurgence.

The fine skill of employing Garden Art to its fullest potential is honed through study, visiting purveyors of fine Garden Art and, of course, visiting all of those lovely gardens in your neighborhood that you find utilizing Garden Art. Online resources to study the art of the garden abound. For one United Kingdom website has an entire 2-volume work on gardening from 1912 entitled History of Garden Art by Marie-Luise Gothein. After reviewing this tome, it is pretty evident that our long-passed author Gothein’s work is about as exhaustive as it gets and is, therefore, a grand starting-off point for anyone interested in Garden Art.

A well-known West Coast center featuring Garden Art is Inner Gardens with two locations in the greater Los Angeles area. A passion for plants, flowers, and garden antiques prompted Stephen Block to open Inner Gardens in 1990. Since then, Inner Gardens has become the West Coast leader in Garden Art and has grown into two showrooms in the Los Angeles area. One thing I had always been terrible at was being organized. This would come from the fact that I would work from four different places in my home. Feeling it was affecting my overall productivity, I decided to clear one dedicated space for all of my home business needs. The actually led to me being more organized and less time was wasted looking for things all over the house. Most importantly, this change provided me with a more quiet area in which to work. The hours I spent working were more quality as a result giving me more time to spend with my family.

Next, cutting off television for me was a drastic but necessary step for me to increase my home business profits. For some this may be impossible, I can tell you though until you go without it you do not realize the time you waste sitting in front of the TV. Do not get me wrong this was an extremely difficult decision for me to make. However, after the money in my pockets began to increase as a result it became less of a hardship.

Lastly, I would recommend having some kind of brainstorming tool you can use where you can put ideas that you come up with while you work. I use a tape recorder and any time I get an idea I talk into it and at the end of the day, I then listen back to what I have recorded and write those thoughts on paper. Some other home based business owners I know of use a huge white board to write ideas on. They are more visual types of learners so this is the style that works best for them.

All of these lifestyle changes to me felt a little radical at first and were tough to get used to. The bottom line was that when my income started to increase as a result they became easier to live with. Hopefully you take away some positives from this article as you grow your home based business.

There is a truism that artists hardly survive the common life. Unless he gets a patron or earns a living by some other means which usually means he neglects or relegates his writing to lower priority in life, or he surrenders to money some of his convictions.

There is, however, a new system for writing that gets paid almost instantly, so that the artist survives at least on a day-to-day basis. It is called freelancing on the internet. essentially, the writer bids for writing jobs over the internet, in specialized websites that offer such, for clients who need articles on topics they require for their own websites or business, but haven’t the talent or so they think or the time to write what they need. They therefore hire ‘professional’ writer –’outsource’ is the term– to write them. The buyers then pay the provider –writers– the bid amount once the buyer approves the work done. Payment is often via specialized websites also such as PayPal.

Well and good. except that since the internet is available all over the world, providers of all nations and persuasions and talents bid, and the buyer is not sure if the provider can actually produce the required article. Gratitude at this time of the year (November) is something that is usual for Americans to ponder on, however, why not be in this feeling of gratitude on a daily basis? I have learned that feeling grateful for EVERYTHING that happens in my life is KEY to being HAPPY and JOYFUL NOW. When I appreciate and focus on the good things that have happened in my life, synchronistic events happen and I am able to CO-CREATE with the Universe.

I am so happy and grateful that I live in the most beautiful place in the world, Honolulu, Hawaii. Because I am the CEO of my home-based business and I have resigned from my JOB over 2 years ago, I am able to create and design my life. After celebrating Thanksgiving with my in-laws, my husband, my dog, and I were fortunate enough to go camping and fishing for 3 nights & 4 days in a totally private and secluded beach! The best part was not having to report to WORK on Monday morning! I started my Monday morning by taking care of my family first, and then reporting to my computer and business at HOME!

I am so glad that my friend introduced me to this amazing business opportunity which has totally transformed my life into something much more wonderful than where I was before. I had been living at home with my parents after returning from teaching English in Japan for 2 years. My knees feel great and I have more energy to do things that I love, for example, swimming, hiking, and body boarding! Best of all, I am surrounded by successful people in this business and in this BraveHeart Women Global Community! This has allowed me to start growing into my Highest Potential of becoming a women of success who will then go on to inspire and assist many others in this world through the Art of Network Marketing!

IntroductionWindow cleaning poles. Also commonly known as water fed poles are fast becoming the industry standard in window cleaning.

The old traditional method of using a bucket and squeegee etc is being less used as window cleaners find the overall safety and flexibility window cleaning poles give you.

Window cleaning used to be an art form, basic in its execution, though, many tried and failed.Most falls to window cleaners involve the use of portable ladders large and small that are basically mounted on top of vehicle.

In recent years figures for accidents reported to HSE and local authorities show that between two and seven window cleaners have been killed each year in Great Britain and about 20-30 suffer major injuries as a result of falls involving ladders.

As you can expect, this is a relatively small problem as accidents go. Not if you’re a window cleaner though. A great deal window cleaners suffer less serious injuries that result in several days off work.

What is a window cleaning pole/water fed pole?

A window cleaning pole/water fed pole is basically an extended carbon fibre (or other materials) pole that is made in sections that extend. You can generally get them in various sizes from 10ft to 45ft and higher, though it is considered a little pointless going higher as they are less effective.

The process of and methodology behind the pole is where pure water is pumped through a hose reel, up the telescopic window cleaning pole/water fed pole and passes through jets. These jets are located in the brush that is found at the top of the window cleaning pole. These jets spray a light stream onto the surface of the glass and the operator just agitates glass loosening the dirt. With simple upwards and sideways movements the glass is clean in a matter of seconds.

Any dirt or dust particles held within the glass are simply flushed away by the constant stream of water from the jets.

Can you use normal tap water to wash a window?

The simple answer is yes. Well, yes and no actually. You can get your window clean using normal tap water, but the water has calcium particles and lots of impurities that would be left on the glass once the water dries. You would have that milky white effect where you’d be able to write your name. Not what I would call a clean window.

Pure Water You Say?

By pure water I mean of distilled water or de-mineralised water. This water doesn’t exist naturally. It has to be made by using a process of de-ionised resin vessels, pre filters, filters and water softeners. It’s quite a simple process and pure water can be made either in a van, office or even your home.
