*Set a work schedule at the beginning of every week and post it in a prominent spot so family members can check your schedule to see when you will be available.

Though issues can and probably will arise, working from home can turn out to be most advantageous for most people. Learning to set, and more importantly, enforce boundaries for family, friends and clients will make your business less complicated.

Work at home programs have grown in popularity in recent years. You have access to millions of people with access to the Internet.There are hundreds of programs to choose from and millions of everyday people looking to work from home. Why do some work at home programs not work out for subscribers? I don’t claim to be an expert, but from my years on the Internet, experience as owner of a work at home web site; I will try my best to shed some light on this subject.

Every company whether it is an online company or traditional company has people who are unhappy after a purchase. There a more reasons than I can mention in an article on why this happens, but I am going to focus on a few that I have seen as an operator of and online web site. In fact the very thought of this article stems from feedback from users of my web site. Like any online business I sometimes get people who join a program through my site that find it is not a good fit for them.

What causes this to happen?

I have found that most of the time it’s that the customers expectations such as their short-term goals, long-term goals, work expectations and skill sets do not match up with the programs they have joined.

One example of this is a frequent visitor of my site joined a Data Entry program and decided it was not a good match with his particular skill set. He emailed me telling me of his problem. After emailing back and forth I gave him some ideas to think about. He decided to try the rebate program and it was a good match for his skill sets and expectations. He emailed me back stating that he thought it was the best program on the Internet. Others will prefer the Data Entry opportunities to other programs. Makes sense?

What I have found with many programs is that it is very important to match the following criteria between the programs and the subscriber.

1. What income goals you may have?

2. Do you want to simply create some additional income or build and online business?

3. How much extra time do you have?

4. What do you feel are the skill sets that we need to match up?

5. Does the person have the necessary discipline required to work from home, i.e. there is work that will have to be done.

6. Does the person have the patience required, because some programs generate income faster than others, however all programs take some time before getting paid.

You see if these don’t match up then folks will get frustrated and quit. There are more, but these are some of the important ones.

They may get frustrated and quit before achieving success if they are for example in a home based business program rather than a work at home program. Why?

The home business program, in my opinion, will create more income over the long-term and the time required on a weekly basis decreases. The problem is that it takes some time to get an online business up and running and profitable.

Many times people are looking for immediate income. Often time many will do a work at home program for income whilst building their online business. That’s just one example, but my point it is that the more the type of program joined does not match up with the customers expectations, short-term, long-term and financial goals the more there is a chance for failure.

All of the programs will require some effort. If they claim you don’t have to do anything then I would stay away, because it won’t be true. There are plenty of these types of ads that can be seen daily online.

I sometimes get email from subscribers that get matched up with the wrong types of programs and I always try my very best to solve their problem if I can.

No one has a crystal ball and despite whatever research I may do some companies are not what we expect them to be and it’s simply a bad program. We simply have to research as much as possible, revise our sites as needed and move on.

I always encourage visitors of my site to send me feedback as to the programs they join and their suggestions as to what types of programs we can add in the future. It helps me keep my finger on the pulse of the market place and it is one of the criteria I use when deciding whether a particular work at home or home based business opportunity stays on my site or not.

I get a lot of emails on a daily basis. I try my best to answer them all. I always enjoy the ones like the gentleman mentioned above. I may not enjoy the ones as much where a visitor is unhappy, but I appreciate their feedback and I try my best to help them when possible. Thankfully I have not received many of these. I don’t care what anybody says it makes you feel bad when you are unable to help a person that has joined a program using your web site. It sure makes you work harder to ensure you have the best programs you can find.

It is not possible on many of the programs, but I always encourage my visitors to look for the money back guarantee programs when possible. This way if it’s not a good fit you can request a refund. I try to include as many of these types of programs as possible on my site.

It is really gratifying when you can convert an unsuccessful endeavor into success by matching up the customer with the program that is best for them.

On the other hand, the advocate of free-will believes just as whole-heartedly that man is not bound at all, being as free as air. He, too, can bring plenty of evidence in support of his theory, which confirms him in his belief. Each one of them thinks that the other is wrong, yet they cannot both be wrong! Let us therefore examine the subject for ourselves, for it is an important one.

First of all, let it be said, they are both wrong, in part, and right in part. Man is bound to the wheel, yet, at the same time, he has free-will. Let us, therefore, explain this seeming paradox.

It is an ancient truth of the inner teaching that man, when he is unevolved and before he is “unfolded,” is bound to the wheel of fate very closely. The unevolved man follows his desires and let’s his emotions rule is life, thus creating for himself a future from which he cannot escape. When however, he becomes more evolved he begins to resist following his desires, takes control of his emotions, and strives, instead, to follow higher things. This creates for him a better future and thus he becomes free in comparison with his former slave state. Man is a slave to fate as long as he is a slave to his emotions and the desires of the earth plane. He is, however, free to overcome lower things and thus rise to higher. When he does this he ceases to create a painful future for himself and thus becomes emotionally and spiritually free.

There is, therefore, fate which is self created. One who has not had much experience of life or who has not been a close observer, may deny that there is such a thing, but one who has had great changes in his life, against which he has fought and struggled in vain, knows that there is a purpose working behind the events of life, against which even kings and mighty men are powerless. There come times in man’s life when he moves heaven and earth, figuratively speaking: prays until he can pray no more; sacrifices, it may be, his money, his health, his prospects, and does everything that is in the power of a human being in a vain attempt to starve off a threatened disaster. But, in spite of all his efforts, in spite of his cries to a pitiless heaven, the relentless march of fate cannot be stayed. It moves forward like a huge juggernaut and crushes his hopes, his dearest idol, his very life itself or all that then makes his life worth living—and leaves him desolate and success of any kind is unattainable.

“If then,” you may ask, “fate is so pitiless and so powerful, what can be done with it and where does free-will enter into the matter?” In reply it must be admitted at one that it is no use fighting fate. The more man fights it, the more completely he gets broken. There are certain main events in life which must come to pass. These events and changes are inevitable and it is hopeless to fight against them. While these things, which constitute what we call fate, are inevitable and therefore cannot be avoided, it rests with ourselves how we meet these adversities and disasters. If we meet them in the wrong mental and emotional state they break us. If however, we meet them in the right mental and emotional state we become stronger through discipline and experience, thus becoming better fitted to bear life’s responsibilities and to overcome its difficulties and temptations. One who meets the setbacks, griefs, bereavements and disasters of life in the right spirit becomes emotional free, strong and rich in character. He becomes mellowed through experience, strong, stable, a helpful influence to all who meet him.

When things go smoothly and life is a merry-go-round, no philosophy or religion seems necessary, and “as for an inward power, what of it, we can do very well without it. “ So say the foolish and inexperienced, but there come times in every man’s life, when in deepest despair, calls out to his God and not only is a very good philosophy, necessary, but also a power, of which the human self knows nothing, is needed in order to raise the soul out of the dust and ashes of its despair. It is one thing to meet trouble and adversity in the right spirit, with the right emotions and quite another thing to have the power to do so. One who thinks that he has no power within him but that all the power is in circumstances, can never rise victorious over his troubles and achieve success; but one who realizes that he possesses a wonderful power that can raise him up, no matter how crushed he may be, can never be a failure in life. He will meet with failures and set-backs but he will make of these, stepping-stones to success.

In addition to the “fate” or “future” which every thought and action builds, there is, behind all evolution, a gigantic plan. This wonderful plan that embraces all, from the stupendous conception of a limitless universe down to the smallest electron, is being worked out through the ages with absolute precision. Nothing can prevent this plan from being brought into manifestation. It gathers up our past and weaves it into our present life; just the same way that it is busily gathering up our present life and weaving it into future fate. It works it all into the big plan, somehow, and with infinite skill. The plan is bound to be followed (this, too, is fate) but HOW we follow it, either with emotions of willingness and happiness or opposition or woe, rests with us (this is free will).
