Whether you have been a home business owner for years, weeks, or months we are all searching for ways we can increase our income. That’s why we became home business entrepreneurs in the first place, to make serious money. A couple months ago I decided I was going to try some tactics in order to try and increase my bottom line. These lifestyle changes helped me almost double my income from my home business in six months. Hopefully by reading this you will be able to take ideas from it and apply them to your home business,

One thing I had always been terrible at was being organized. This would come from the fact that I would work from four different places in my home. Feeling it was affecting my overall productivity, I decided to clear one dedicated space for all of my home business needs. The actually led to me being more organized and less time was wasted looking for things all over the house. Most importantly, this change provided me with a more quiet area in which to work. The hours I spent working were more quality as a result giving me more time to spend with my family.

Next, cutting off television for me was a drastic but necessary step for me to increase my home business profits. For some this may be impossible, I can tell you though until you go without it you do not realize the time you waste sitting in front of the TV. Do not get me wrong this was an extremely difficult decision for me to make. However, after the money in my pockets began to increase as a result it became less of a hardship.

Lastly, I would recommend having some kind of brainstorming tool you can use where you can put ideas that you come up with while you work. I use a tape recorder and any time I get an idea I talk into it and at the end of the day, I then listen back to what I have recorded and write those thoughts on paper. Some other home based business owners I know of use a huge white board to write ideas on. They are more visual types of learners so this is the style that works best for them.

All of these lifestyle changes to me felt a little radical at first and were tough to get used to. The bottom line was that when my income started to increase as a result they became easier to live with. Hopefully you take away some positives from this article as you grow your home based business.
