As you are generating a database of prospect leads, bear in mind that there are distinct differences in your prospects’ personalities. Educating yourself on the four different personality colors will greatly improve your communicatons and relationship-building skills.
Why is it that some people are successful in MLM, while others fail time after time after time? This answer may not include everything, but I do know that understanding personality differences makes a huge difference in the results people get in network marketing. The psychologist Carl Jung wrote about the 4 personality types nearly a hundred years ago.
The theory has been refined and expanded over the years by quite a number of pretty smart people. Today, you can start from zero knowledge and become very good at identifying the four different personality types within just seconds of meeting them.
It’s pretty amazing the difference this makes in the results people get. When you can meet someone and quickly understand how they think, what motivates them, what they absolutely do not like, how they act in certain situations … you are in position to build a trust-based relationship much more quickly than you ever could before. But the biggest result this training brings about is that the person being trained must actually LISTEN to a prospect in order to tell which personality they are. And once you start really listening to people, magical things happen.
The people you talk to notice that you are someone who really cares, someone who is not just out advancing your own agenda. And the best part of this training is, it’s so easy to learn … and so easy for you to teach to others. That means it is a very duplicatable strategy, which you can use to build your network marketing income.
Think about your real target market for new people to build your network marketing business. Obviously there are lots of possibilities. Successful mail-oreder companies target the best prospects to mail to. And it’s pretty expensive when you make a mistake of mailing to a poorly-targeted list. These guys would tell you that the #1 factor in their success isn’t the mailing piece they send out - it is the names on the list they mail to. And this may sound really strange, but the number one criteria to be able to predict whether a person will buy is, has this person bought the same thing before? I know that seems very counterintuitive, but it is the truth. Mail order dealers who know what they’re doing mail exclusively to people who have already bought the exact same thing, or something very similar.
Why does that work? Because you are dealing with someone who has raised their hand and identified themself as a person interested in exactly what you are selling. In network marketing, your prospect leads are NOT the general public. Your top prospects are frustrated network marketers still searching for the opportunity that will give them the success they want.
A lot of frustrated prople with la ack of MLM success have found these ideas very useful.
